partners' project, RE:ACT

generationE has been selected for funding under the European Commission’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme, which promotes Holocaust remembrance, democratic participation and the protection of fundamental rights across Europe.

The project „Resilience through Education against Contemporary Antisemitism and Distortion (RE:ACT)“ responds to the alarming increase in antisemitism across Europe following the events of October 7, 2023, as well as the growing spread of Holocaust distortion and online hate speech. 

Building on the achievements of the DECONSTRUCT project, RE:ACT will create innovative digital and testimony-based educational materials that strengthen critical thinking and connect Holocaust education with current societal and civic challenges. Building upon the successes of the DECONSTRUCT project, generationE—within the framework of RE:ACT—will collaborate with partner organizations in Hungary, Greece, and Romania, as well as with associated partners in Switzerland and the USA, to develop innovative digital educational materials based on eyewitness testimonies that foster critical thinking and link Holocaust education to contemporary societal and civic challenges. 

The project’s official kick-off event will take place in October 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
