The Butterfly Project engages students with the history of the Holocaust, connecting the past to present-day issues like bullying and injustice. For descendants of survivors, it offers a chance to connect with the communities where their families once lived.

IWalk

IWalks are an innovative educational tool of the USC Shoah Foundation. An IWalk is an interactive Holocaust city history tour, available on-site and online. generationE developed the first German IWalk for Cottbus.

Footprints of Remembrance

In 2026, generationE will launch "Traces of Remembrance" with Lebenshilfe Kreis Viersen, to commemorate thousands of murdered children with mental and physical disabilities who fell victim to Nazi inhumanity.

Making History Alive

"Making History Alive" (MHA) is an educational project developed by generationE that brings together young people from Germany, other European countries, and the USA online to learn from experts on the history of the Holocaust.

IWitness

The USC Shoah Foundation's IWitness educational platform not only offers access to 1,200 video interviews with survivors of the Holocaust and other genocide victims, but also a variety of free online educational activities.

Sara and Me

Young people from the Cottbus want to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive. Together, they developed a performance. In "Sara and Me," they explored the historical events of the Jewish victims through dance and texts.

RE:ACT

generationE is a recipient of the European Commission's Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme, countering Holocaust distortion and denial and fostering human rights and democratic values across Europe.

Survivor Interviews

In 2023, generationE conducted video interviews with Holocaust survivors for the USC Shoah Foundation. These interviews are now publicly available on the USC Shoah Foundation's Visual History Archive IWitness platform.
