Making History Alive

"Making History Alive" brings together students from Germany, Europe and the USA in a monthly online extra-curricular exploration of the history of the Holocaust and the experiences of Jews and others who were persecuted during the Nazi era. Our examination of history supports these students in developing a moral compass and, in exchange with peers from other countries, cultures and religions, ideas on how we can all live together in peace. During the year-long program, students will not only get to know their project partners, but will also meet and learn from contemporary witnesses, scientists, authors, and artists.

"Making History Alive" is both an enriching experience for participating students and is intended to extend into the school and local community by students sharing their experiences with classmates and with the public. For example, students can organize commemorative events or invite people to film screenings, lectures, discussions, concerts, or guided tours on the topic.

The project is suitable for students aged 14 and over. Knowledge of English is required.
